12. Chairs Role • To keep the work of the group on track • To lead on planning the project • To present a positive image of the project to young people and adults alike. • To develop positive relationship with the witnesses • To encourage contributions and encouraging all members to be involved
13. Scrutiny Members Role • To attend and contribute to training/meetings • To collect and look through evidence to produce effective recommendations • To act with authority, fairness, impartiality and credibility • To follow up agreed work eg. research, between Scrutiny meetings as appropriate
Things to Do Scrutiny’s role is to act as a vehicle to enable young people, to ask questions on how decisions have been made, to consider whether service improvements can be put in place and make recommendations.
Not sure this makes sense- we need to emphaise that the involvement is wider than D/MYPs eg. to involve the local youth council. Maybe it’s more of a presentation issue eg. would a circle work better?

Too many slides- the next 9 need to be reduced to 3-5. Because otherwise it looks too much and i think we’d lose people. Do we need to empahise that we’re asking these questions to get them thinking for taking this back to their manor
Same deal as with 1 Research- i’d reduce the next few slides down into 1 or a max 2.
Maybe looking at who we need to communicate with- as these audiences the same? Will we need to use the same messages to different audiences or tailor what we’re saying to different groups eg. are we saying the same thing to yp as to cllrs?
What are we looking to achieve by asking this question? Is it realistic that someone will turn round and go no we should use facebook? Should the question be more about How we use this- who are we looking to contact, what do we want them to do in repsonse?
